Airsoft is a simulation sport in which players participate in mock combat wars with military style weapons and tactics. Airsoft guns usually use 6 mm BB pellets typically made of plastic. Airsoft refers to replica guns that originated from Japan. The power levels are way below those of traditional airguns, but the guns are 1/1 scale copies of original guns, rather than original designs.

Spring-powered airsoft guns are single shot guns that use a spring to launch an airsoft BB down the barrel of the gun. The user must cock a spring gun prior to each shot much like you would a real shotgun or bolt-action rifle.

Electric-powered airsoft guns typically use a rechargeable batteries to power an electric motor, which uses spring/piston assembly in order to launch BB pellets. Automatic and semi-automatic operation is possible which gives these guns the popular name "automatic electric guns" or AEG's.

Gas-powered airsoft guns use pressurized gas to propel BB pellets. These guns are capable of automatic and semi-automatic operation. The most common gases used are green gas, CO2 and nitrogen.

A Hop-Up system puts an upwards spin on the BB as it goes down the barrel. This reduces the affects of gravity to increase the flight time and range of the BB.

Blowback action on a Gas or Electric gun means the slide of the gun will recoil when the gun is fired like a real firearm.

FPS means feet per second. The velocity of the BB as it leaves the barrel. This does not mean how many feet your Airsoft Gun will shoot.

Do not reuse BB's. Reusing BB's may cause a jam, breakage or damage the barrel in your gun.

Do NOT over charge batteries! if they over heat, you could cause damage to the battery. Not all batteries charge equal, Be sure to use the proper connectors to connect your battery to the charger. Generally 3-4 hours is enough time but every charger and batteries are different. You can look up the times online or read the manual. If you are not certain of a battery's remaining charge and you wish to charge it, place the battery on the charger and check it every 5-10 minutes. If the battery is warm to the touch, assume it is fully charged. If it is hot to the touch, remove the battery from the charger immediately!

To clean the exterior and magazine of the airsoft gun: Wipe clean with a clean non-abrasive cloth Use cotton swabs for crevices and hard to reach areas. To clean the barrel of the airsoft gun: Spray a .22 cleaning patch with silicone. place the patch on rod and insert in into barrel. Swab barrel 4-5 times Repeat swabbing procedure with a dry patch till it comes out clean.
